Sleep Apnea detection is a feature that was recently introduced on Samsung Galaxy smartwatches like the Galaxy Watch Ultra. This feature helps to detect sleep apnea, as most of the people are unaware that they are suffering from this issue.
What is Sleep Apnea?
The breathing abruptly stops while sleeping and this state is known as sleep apnea that impacts the nature of one’s slumber as well as overall health. Smart watches offer a remedy in detecting this condition by monitoring heart beats, blood oxygen saturation levels, and sleeping trends. Such life signs can notify people about probable interruptions in their rest patterns leading them to seek medical opinions on their sleeping issues.
While Sleep Apnea detection got approval from the FDA in the US but still a lot of countries are missing out on this feature that Galaxy Watch Ultra offers. There’s a good news that you can now finally use this feature even if you are not based in the US. The process is pretty simple and it just unlocks that region restriction.
Thanks to XDA developer Dantee for providing an easy way to install all the necessary apps that are to be downloaded and installed both on your phone and watch. These apps are scanned through Google Drive so you don’t have to worry about any malware.
So first you need to install SHM mod companion app on your phone that has all the required download links and latest version. Using that app you can push those apks to Galaxy Watch. For a step by step guide on what to do you can follow the following video. The process is easy like installing BP and ECG on your Galaxy Watch.
